Cat5e/Cat6 HDBaseT HDMI Matrix Switch is the latest iteration of the HDMI Video Matrix Switch. These switches combine the functionality of both an HDMI Matrix Switch and an HDBaseT HDMI Extender into a single, simple to use, matrix switch box. HDBaseT Matrix Switches provide the same functionality users have come to love in standard HDMI Matrix Switches while also allowing the use of the great feature set of HDBaseT technology. With support for Full HD 1080p resolution with 3D capabilities, these HDBaseT HDMI Matrix Switches allow configurations at distances well beyond the maximum length of standard HDMI Cables. They allow for the use of far less expensive and more readily available Cat5e/Cat6/Cat7 network cables (Cat6 shielded or better is recommended for best results). One Cat RJ45 connection for each output extends the HDMI signal to remote location via HDBaseT Cat5e/6/7 HDMI Receivers (Cat6/7 Cable 330 Feet (100M), Cat5e 200 Feet (75M), Cat5 100 Feet (35M).
HDBaseT HDMI Routers can be configured in a wide range of options starting from 4x4 up to 64x64 Matrix. Though many units come in pre-configured sizes, special configurations can be achieved through the use of special Video Matrix Switch Chassis and Hot-swappable 4-port Video input and output cards. They can also be configured with or without the HDBaseT transmitters and receivers. This allows installers to purchase the minimum required for the current application and also have the opportunity to expand on an as-needed basis.
