USB 3.0’s distance limit is approximately 3 meters. When up to 15 meters is required, consider the USB 3.0 Spectra 3001-15 active copper cable. This rugged bus-powered active cable supports USB 3.0 5Gbps throughputs and provides 5V/900mA without the need for an external power source. A true plug-and-play solution, the Spectra 3001-15 cable is compatible with all leading operating systems and features a locking USB port as specified by AIA USB3 Vision™. The cable is warranted for 2 years from the date of purchase. Backward compatibility to USB 2.0/1.1 is not supported by this particular extender.
