Modular Seamless Switching Matrix – 4K Video Matrix Switcher

This modular seamless switching matrix is a 4K video matrix switch in one chassis: 8×8 up to 36×36, card-based I/O, seamless AV switching, distribution, video wall processing, and control. It is built for control rooms, command centers, broadcast, government, and enterprise AV. Call (216) 798-7530 for card mix and frame size.

When to pick this chassis

Buy a fixed HDMI matrix switch when every port is HDMI and the I/O count will not grow. Buy this modular frame when you mix HDMI, DVI-U, VGA, 3G/HD/SDI, HDBaseT, and fiber, or when you need to grow from 8×8 toward 36×36 without a second chassis. For copper HDMI over Cat, start with a Cat5e/Cat6 HDBaseT HDMI matrix. For campus fiber runs, pair output cards with a fiber optic extender only if the card itself is not already fiber.

4K video and backplane

Supported video: 4K×2K @ 60 Hz, RGB 4:4:4, 24-bit, HDMI 2.0b up to 18 Gbps. Switching is low-latency and uncompressed on this platform. The high-bandwidth backplane routes mixed formats across installed cards. Do not assume every installed card is 4K60; match the card sheet to the source.

Pluggable I/O cards

Each card is four channels. Populate HDMI, DVI-U, VGA, 3G/HD/SDI, HDBaseT, or fiber input and output cards as the room requires. 2K and 4K processing are both supported. Audio embed and de-embed sit on the same chassis for mixers and DSPs. HDMI-only rooms that will never change format still belong on a fixed 8x8 HDMI matrix switch or 16x16 HDMI matrix switch.

Control and video wall

Control: front-panel buttons with LCD, IR remote, RS-232, LAN, PC software, and Web GUI. The integrated video wall engine maps sources across up to 36 outputs. For dedicated wall processors and layouts, see video wall systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

What I/O sizes does this modular matrix cover?

8×8 up to 36×36 in one chassis, in four-channel cards. You populate only the slots you need.

Is it a 4K60 video matrix switcher?

Yes on this platform: 4K×2K @ 60 Hz, RGB 4:4:4, 24-bit, HDMI 2.0b 18 Gbps, uncompressed. Confirm each card sheet before you mix 2K and 4K cards.

Which signal cards can I install?

HDMI, DVI-U, VGA, 3G/HD/SDI, HDBaseT, and fiber, input or output, four channels per card, plus audio embed and de-embed.

Does it replace a separate video wall processor?

It includes wall mapping across up to 36 outputs. Dedicated wall-only jobs can still use a video wall system. Ask us which path fits the layout.

How do I control it?

Front-panel buttons with LCD, IR remote, RS-232, LAN, PC software, and Web GUI.

See all video matrix switches, the HDMI matrix switch line, or DVI matrix switch and VGA matrix switch frames when the room is single-format.
